EDUCATION INFORMATION SERVICE (EIS)

The EIS is the primary program of the PMHA BBCI.  It promotes mental health through various education and information dissemination activities such as seminar-workshops, lectures, symposia, print and broadcast media.  It also conducts community mental health programs and organizes youth and parent core groups.

EIS PROGRAMS

YOUTH LIFE SKILLS PROGRAM

It is a training/program that is focused on the human relation/interpersonal relationship among adolescents.  It aims to provide opportunities for personality development and enrichment among the youth.  Its over-all aim is to train the youth to become crusaders of mental health, by helping them become aware of themselves, their environment and social issues pertinent to mental health and develop their leadership skills.

 

THE LAKAS ISIPAN NG KABATAAN

This is the implementing arm of the PMHA in the promotion of mental health in their schools and communities.  It is organized in the schools after the YLSP training.   The officers of the club plan mental health related activities under the supervision and support of the PMHA and the LINK Club advisers.

LINK CLUB ACTIVITIES

1. Organization of the LINK Federation and LINK Club Committees

The LINK Federation is composed of the different school LINK clubs’ President and Vice President.  The group is tasked to come up with activities that they can implement in their respective school and their own project as a federation.  The federation also composes the different committees namely; Kampus Bayani and National Mental Health Week, Christmas Party, Talina-ay, and Summer Camp  Committees.

2. Peer Counseling

This program is designed to offer support services to peers in school or in the community.  It is based on the premise that trained and motivated young people have the ability to positively influence the attitude and behavior of their peers.

 

 

3. Search for Mr. and Ms. Kampus Bayani

The search for Mr. and Ms. Kampus Bayani is a yearly search for underprivileged high school students, who have managed to cope positively in their lives amidst their economic situations. For the sterling qualities they possess, they are called the campus heroes and heroines or the Kampus Bayani.  The program aims to give recognition to the said students.

4. Summer Camp

Every end of the school year the LINKers are given the chance to have a five days camp in the different LINK Club member schools.  The camp aims to provide a venue for the youth to meet new friends and share their experiences and talents in order to develop values on unity, cooperation, and love for nature.


5. Christmas Party

The Christmas Party is a yearly activity of the LINK Club wherein all of the LINKers or LINK members convene together to celebrate the yuletide season.

 

 

 

6. Talina-ay

This is the annual newsletter of the LINK Club.  All members and advisers are encouraged to submit their contributions for the said newsletter.

 

 

 

7. Most Active LINK Club Award

This is an award given every two (2) years to the LINK Club who actively mplemented mental health related activities in their respective schools and contributed/ participated to them activities organized by PMHA.

 

 

 

8. LINK Club Award

This special award is given to graduating students who have actively participated in the implementation of the different activities for the promotion of mental health.

 

 

 

 

9. Other Seminars

The chapter also conducts seminars, lectures and group dynamic activities on topics related to mental health.
